First Aid Training for Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Volunteers – Balochistan Successfully conducted a comprehensive First Aid Training for volunteers of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Quetta, bringing together participants from across Balochistan. The training aimed to strengthen the emergency response capacity of PRCS volunteers by equipping them with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to provide immediate lifesaving care during emergencies, disasters, and humanitarian crises. The competency-based training combined interactive classroom sessions with hands-on practical exercises, simulations, and scenario-based learning. Participants were trained in patient assessment, Basic Life Support (BLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking management, bleeding control, wound care, burns, fractures and splinting, shock management, safe casualty handling, infection prevention and control (IPC), and safe transportation of injured persons. The training emphasized rapid assessment, effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to internationally recognized first aid principles, enabling volunteers to respond confidently and effectively before advanced medical care becomes available.
